TONE CHASE WITH A PLAN
For years I’ve been obsessed with guitar tone and specially with pedals and pedalboards. I love the way you can combine those colorful boxes by your feet like you are controlling a space ship of sound. Each combination unlocks an infinite amount of sounds and textures where you can replicate the timbers you losing from your guitar hero or add your personality to the songs you perform.
This obsession led me to several rabbit holes for tone chasing including building my own pedalboards. This craft is full of complexity and variables when you are in the weeds with it. It can get very frustrating when you mistakenly purchase a board that is just a little too small for all your favorite effects, or when the power supplier lacks the connections you need.
In the attempt to reduce those variables and expensive mistakes, I looked all over for tools that can help me plan as much as I could the arrangement of the board, the the match of the pedal, making sure the switches are reachable, and also that it looks as good as I imagine before I purchase the items. Of course I also love to talk gear with my friends and get their opinions and ideas for my projects.
Unfortunately, the tools available to me were good but never perfect. I might find a pleasant UI in one, but would lack controls, or I would have all the controls but not enough pedals. I also needed a way to share my ideas with the community. That is why I decided to create my own Pedalboard Designer with a community forum along with it. Now I can have all my needs met and the best part is to share with my friends and the community.
The Pedalboard Designer is an online tool and community for all the tone chasers around. It covers all the basic needs for any design and keeps a up to date catalog of items including pedals, boards, power supplies and more! By using a AI logic, we look globally for any past and current pedals and other items to make sure we have the pedal you already have at home or the new one you are aiming for and want to make sure it fits in your current board.
